23rd Annual Beaufort Shrimp Festival
Hosted by the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Beaufort, the Beaufort Shrimp Festival will feature shrimp dishes from up to 15 local restaurants competing for the Silver Cup award. Vote for your favorite to win the People’s Choice award! Admission is free, with $1 food and beverage tickets available for purchase (most items cost 2-8 tickets). A 5K race; arts and crafts vendors; shrimp heading and children’s shrimp peeling competitions; and the Sea Island Rotary’s rubber shrimp race round out the festivities in Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park.

Exchange Club Ghost Tours in Downtown Beaufort
Celebrate Halloween with carriage rides and walking tours through Beaufort’s moss-laden historic district, complete with haunting tales of the city’s past. Carriage tours (approximately 45 minutes) leave every 20 minutes starting at 6:30 p.m. from the parking lot at 1006 Bay Street. 2nd Annual Pat Conroy Literary Festival
Celebrate Pat Conroy’s legacy as student and teacher through this year’s festival theme of The Transformative Power of Education. Presented in partnership between the Pat Conroy Literary Center and the USCB Center for the Arts, the four-day schedule includes writing workshops, tours, book signings, panel discussions, film screenings and more in celebration of the writing and teaching life of Pat Conroy. Night on the Sound
Tickets are selling fast for the Port Royal Sound Foundation’s 3rd Annual Night on the Sound fundraiser, featuring famed conservationist and animal expert Jack Hanna (and a few of his furry friends).
