Run Forrest Run

We’re proud sponsors of the Run Forrest Run 5K bridge run/walk and Popcorn Shrimp Run. Run the course where Forrest Gump was filmed and enjoy shrimp and refreshments afterward. Details.

OktoPRfest Celebration in Port Royal

Kick up your lederhosen at the 3rd Annual OktoPRfest from 11a.m. to 6 p.m. on Paris Avenue. Enjoy a full day of live music, bratwurst, crafts, a kid’s fun zone, face painting and more. Details.

Color Me Happy: Adult Coloring Club

Relax and be a kid again in our grown-up club. From 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., you can color and enjoy music, friends and snacks at the Beaufort Branch Library, 311 Scott Street. Details.

Adaptive Golf Clinic

Every third Saturday of the month, Beaufort Memorial and The Legends of Parris Island Golf Course have partnered to host an Adaptive Golf Clinic. The clinic takes place from 9 to 11 a.m. on the driving range. Civilians, veterans and active military personnel are invited to explore adaptive techniques and tools. Learn more.

Hit the Trails or Stairs at Hunting Island

Take a self-guided tour of the Hunting Island Lighthouse, South Carolina’s only publicly accessible historic lighthouse, dating from the 1870s. Open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., the lighthouse is open to visitors for just $2. Or attend one of Hunting Island State Park’s barrier island educational programs. Saturday, October 22 – Sunday, October 23

Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival and 5K/10K

Celebrate fine art and the bounty of the sea at the 12th annual Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival. This weeklong event culminates in a two-day Streetfest, held October 22 and 23, featuring art, food and music galore. On Saturday, October 22, lace up your running shoes and head to the Bluffton Oyster Factory Park at 8 a.m. Run through Old Town Bluffton and enjoy the scenic river and marsh views at the family-friendly, professionally chip-timed 5K or 10K.

Thursday, October 27 

Trick or Treat Beaufort

Trick-or-treaters can don their Halloween costumes early and collect candy in Downtown Beaufort. Kids and their chaperones can visit more than 65 stores and businesses along Bay Street, West Street, Scott Street, Carteret Street and beyond for treats on Thursday, October 27, between 4:30 and 6 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Details.

Main Street Beaufort Fall Art Walk

Breeze in and out of more than a dozen galleries in downtown Beaufort. From 5 to 7:30 p.m., stroll through a world of different styles and mediums. Refreshments will be offered. Details.
