Books Sandwiched In featuringSmall Great Things” by Jodi Picoult
Friends of the Beaufort Library is again hosting the popular weekly Books Sandwiched In program, featuring book reviews Mondays from noon until 1 p.m. at the USCB Center for the Arts, 805 Carteret Street. The event is free with coffee and cookies provided by the Friends. Details.

Enjoy two nights of fun with your love presented by the Beaufort Memorial Foundation. First comes A Cocktail Affair, an elegant drinks and hors d’oeuvres social at Tabby Place in downtown Beaufort, on Friday, February 9. Then on Saturday, February 10, treat yourselves to a pre-Valentine Ball dinner party at a private residence and the black-tie gala at Tabby Place that follows.

The elegant and philanthropic events include an out-of-this-world silent auction.

Proceeds from this year’s events will help renovate Beaufort Memorial’s Surgical Pavilion. Details and Tickets.

11th Annual Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival
Enjoy a family-friendly, weeklong culinary and cultural tourism event featuring top chefs, mixologists, sommeliers, local seafood, artisans, live music and wildlife. Proceeds from the annual festival, hosted by the David M. Carmines Memorial Foundation, support local nonprofit organizations including the Coastal Discovery Museum, Island Recreation Scholarship Fund, Port Royal Sound Foundation, Gullah Heritage Museum and Medical University of South Carolina. 12th Annual Beaufort International Film Festival
The Beaufort Film Society presents the 12th installment of one of the Southeast’s fastest-growing film festivals. The opening ceremony will be held at Tabby Place in downtown Beaufort and all the screenings and workshops plus the Awards Ceremony will be held at USCB Center for the Arts. Details.


Saturday, February 24

Come experience beautiful Bluffton as you compete for one of the many awards given to runners in this fun and competitive race. Event start time is 9 a.m. and proceeds benefit the Arrhythmia Alliance’s #BlufftonHeartsMatter campaign, an effort to place automatic external defibrillators throughout the Bluffton community.
