ladies-2017-VB.jpgBeaufort Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 29th annual Valentine Ball will again feature an extra night of festivities. Both events will be hosted at Tabby Place in Downtown Beaufort. All proceeds from the 2018 Valentine Ball will be used for renovating the Beaufort Memorial Surgical Pavilion.

This year’s Friday night Cocktail Affair includes bourbon sampling, live music and the popular “Rose’ & Diamonds!” Modern Jewelers has donated 150 pairs of gorgeous “Diamond” stud earrings – but only one pair has genuine diamonds. Attendees can purchase a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rose’ – one of the Breakwater Restaurant’s favorite high-end labels – which includes a beautiful pair of diamond or cubic zirconia stud earrings with a total weight of one carat. After all 150 glasses of bubbly are sold, we’ll learn which pair is the real thing!

Guests who purchase tickets to the ball by the January 12 RSVP deadline will also be invited to attend a privately hosted dinner party before the ball. The hallmark of the Valentine Ball since its inception 29 years ago, the parties are held in some of Beaufort’s loveliest homes and historic venues and hosted by volunteers who create unique and wonderful experiences all their own. Guests are randomly assigned to the dinner parties, bringing together people of all ages and diverse backgrounds to delight in old connections and new friends. After dinner, guests move on to the ball for dancing to a live band, a silent auction and a tempting array of desserts.

Tickets to the Valentine Ball and private dinner parties on February 10 start at $150 per person and include several levels of sponsorships. Tickets for Friday night start at $75 per person with a discount for those wishing to “make a weekend of it” by attending both events. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit or call (843) 522-5774.
