Beaufort Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 28th annual Valentine Ball features a new venue, an extra night of festivities and plenty of new people for you to meet.
The weekend kicks off with our first-ever cocktail affair on Friday, February 10, at 6 p.m., and the ball takes place on Saturday, February 11, at 9 p.m. Both events will be hosted at Tabby Place in Downtown Beaufort. All proceeds from the 2017 Valentine Ball will go toward the Keyserling Cancer Center, which provides a full range of cancer services to Beaufort residents.
At our cocktail affair on Friday, attendees will get a sneak peek at the always-fabulous decorations and auction items while enjoying an open bar and a bourbon sampling and wine tasting, as well as elaborate hors d’oeuvres and live jazz.
Guests who purchase tickets to the ball by the January 12 RSVP deadline will also be invited to attend a privately hosted dinner party before the ball. The hallmark of the Valentine Ball since its inception 28 years ago, the parties are held in some of Beaufort’s loveliest homes and historic venues and hosted by volunteers who create unique and wonderful experiences all their own. Guests are randomly assigned to the dinner parties, bringing together people of all ages and diverse backgrounds to delight in old connections and new friends. After dinner, guests move on to the ball for dancing to a live band, a silent auction and a tempting array of desserts.
Tickets to the Valentine Ball and private dinner parties on February 11 start at $150 per person and include several levels of sponsorships. Tickets for Friday night start at $75 per person with a discount for those wishing to “make a weekend of it” by attending both events.
